What tournaments will you be debating on this topic?

Tournaments? On the March/April topic? That's funny.

This is the topic for National Qualifiers and State in Washington. Although I might go to Harker instead of NQ that weekend.

State, NFL and CFL quals. It's actually a decent topic, a lot better than last year's.

@Ontology:
Why would it be better if we used Jan/Feb. That would take the fun out of writing cases at 3 AM before states XD

Isn't Harker J/F? why is your NQ M/A that's even worse since no one has stuff on it IMO

Yeah, Harker is J/F, and it's a TOC bid in semis, which is cool.

Washington's schedule in general is kind of weird. We don't debate the S/O topic, but people sometimes travel nationally for it. Then obviously November and December are on N/D, and January and February are on J/F. When National Qualifiers and State roll around, it's already March.

I'm definitely planning on debating the J/F topic past March though. NDCA's and stuff are in April.

Utah is the same way. We used to have one novice tournament on the S-O topic but this year we decided it's better to simply do the N-D topic since tournaments for the season start the next week. Even when our nat quals, state, and region have fallen in early Feb. For some reason they use the March/April topic.

Ohio is similar.
No S/O topic, debate N/D and J/F with all qualifiers on J/F. Then states on M/A. Of course, a few teams go national circuit on random topics.

We desperately need some S/O action in Ohio... almost as badly as we need to move OHSSLs back a couple weeks so there can be one or two pre-states on M/A to prevent some of the garbage that we see run (bad evidence, worse positions, zero clash).

That said, I think it's just OHSSLs for me. Too early to tell.

The good ol' PFD coaches in AZ moved NFL Quals up to February so that the qualifiers in PF could get ToC bids.

Thus, AZ will only be debating State with this topic. :(

BUT, if the Dobson Invitational Round Robin is able to get approval by MPS, than some 16 AZ LDers will be able to debatte this one for a couple more rounds.
